Installation

• Dowload drupal-xx.tar.gz
• Follow the guidelines in the included INSTALL.txt
  • Move files in the web directory (xxx/www, xxx/public_html/ or equivalent) and adjust their premissions

    • mv drupal-6.13/* drupal-6.13/.htaccess (webdirectory)

    • cp sites/default/default.settings.php sites/default/settings.php

    • chmod o+w sites/default/settings.php

    • chmod o+w sites/default

  • Create your SQL database or have it created by your administrator; you will need database name, user name and password.
  • Surf with a browser to the address where you put the drupal install files.
  • The rest can be done through the web interface ;-)

Extra modules

• Download them and unpack them in (webdirectory)/sites/all/modules/
• Activate the module in "Administer" -> "Site Building" -> "Modules"
